About
Born and raised in the great literary city of Portland, Oregon, I grew up amongst the shelves of Powell's and neighborhood bookstores. In 2008, I graduated from Lewis and Clark College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. In 2017, I took my love of books to the next level and began pursuing a Master of Arts in Book Publishing at Portland State University. While in the program, I worked as a publisher's assistant for Ooligan Press, a small press staffed by students in the book publishing program.
My experience at Ooligan exposed me to every area of publishing, greatly increasing both my knowledge of it and my passion for creating beautiful books. The press provided me with numerous opportunities to hone my editing, marketing, and design skills through real-world experience in the publishing industry. Today I'm currently working as a book publicist and marketer and loving every minute of it, finding joy in helping authors spread the word about the books they've put their hearts and souls into creating. When I'm not helping authors connect with readers, I enjoy reading and writing stories, and walking my dog, Quokka. |
